7th Prous Institute - Overton and Meyer Award for new technologies in drug discovery


The 2016 call for nominations for the
7th Prous Institute - Overton and Meyer Award for New Technologies in Drug Discovery, granted by the European Federation of Medicinal Chemistry, has been launched. Please apply or nominate a colleague.

This distinguished biennial
award was established to recognise the medicinal chemistry professionals and scholars who have excelled and significantly contributed to the development and use of technologies and innovations in the field of drug discovery.

The award recipient will receive the corresponding award recognition, a monetary prize (
7,500 Euros) and an invitation to present a lecture at the next XXIV EFMC "International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry" (EFMC-ISMC) to be held in Manchester, United-Kingdom on August 28 - September 1, 2016.

Previous award recipients include Prof. György Ferenczy and Prof. György Keseru in 2014, Dr Harren Jhoti in 2012, Prof. Klaus Müller in 2010, Prof. V. Ley in 2008, Prof. D. Neri in 2006 and Prof. C.O. Kappe in 2004.

How to submit a nomination

Nominations for this award consist of a nomination letter, a brief CV, including a list of selected publications and two supporting letters. Self-nominations are also accepted. Once the nomination documentation and requirements have been met, please use this
link to process and submit the nomination. The Award Nomination Committee will review all submitted nominations and propose an award recipient to the Executive Committee of the European Federation for Medicinal Chemistry (EFMC) who in turn is responsible for the final selection.

The nomination application period for 2016 Award will close on January 31st, 2016.
