Welcome to our new students!

ESRs
1st October 2013

Today, 11 of our 13 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) started their induction programme at the Department of Chemistry. Two others will join the rest of the team on 1st November but will participate in the very first OxIOSCR meeting with the Associated Partners (APs), project management team and chemistry supervisors on the 8th October at the Chemistry Research Laboratory (CRL).

During Spring/Summer 2013 the students underwent a gruelling application and interview process to form an elite group of graduate researchers ready to take on the comprehensive three-year OxIOSCR DPhil training programme. Following induction, the students will each begin a research project within one of four sub-programme areas in anti-cancer natural product total synthesis and medicinal chemistry with a focus on electrochemistry, biocatalysis, flow and sustainable organic chemistry techniques.
